FBICAAA Outreach Event:  Be Ready Day
 
September 1, 2010


Please plan to join us in Linn Park on Wednesday, September 1st, as we distribute Child ID Kits and FBI-SOS internet safety information at Be Ready Day.


Be Ready Day is a day-long event featuring emergency responders, many state and local agencies and vendors.  The FBI Citizens' Academy Alumni Association will sponsor a booth to distribute Child ID Kits and information about the FBI-SOS internet safety program

 

The event will feature activities, games and information on how citizens can be prepared for any type of disaster.  Approximately 3,000 children and adults are expected to attend.

About Be Ready Day:

 

Be Ready Day is sponsored by the Alabama Department of Homeland Security, the Governor's Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives, and the Alabama Emergency Management Agency.  This year’s Be Ready Day will be held at Linn Park in Birmingham.

 

This is the sixth year for Be Ready Day. Previous Be Ready Days have been held in Montgomery, Huntsville, Tuscaloosa, Mobile and Florence.
